This trip includes all the Nashville “musts”! 

Some of the trip highlights included; a private line dancing class at Nashville Palace, lunch, and entertainment on the General Jackson Showboat cruise, excellent seats at the Grand Ole Opry (including a backstage tour), other guided sightseeing tours to historical spots like Music City, the Walk of Fame, the Country Hall of Fame, and more. Plus, you’ll have plenty of time to explore on your own to experience Downtown Nashville or other hot spots.

  • 11:15-12:15     Lunch Rockford, IL  Golden Corral (Included)
  • 2:45-3:00 PM     Afternoon rest stop enroute
  • 5:15 PM     Check in at Drury Inn and Suites 145 N. 44th St., Mount Vernon, IL  (618-246-5201)
  • Complimentary kickback 5:30-7:00 p.m. (hot food buffet and 3 beverages – beer, wine, mixed drinks and soft drinks); Soda and popcorn 4:00-8:00 pm (All included).
  • If additional meal desired, on your own restaurants in walking distance include:  Panera, Steak ’n Shake, McAlister’s Deli and others.  Pool hours 9 a.m-10 p.m.
  • 6:00-7:45 AM      Breakfast at hotel (Included); Bags to bus by 7:00 a.m.
  • 7:15 AM              Depart hotel
  • 8:45-9:00 AM      Rest stop – Paducah rest area
  • 11:30 AM            Lunch at Chocolate Covered Strawberry (Included)
  • 1:00 PM              Pick up our tour guide to learn about stars (past and present) in the area.  Drive by Conway Twitty’s house/Trinity Broadcasting Network where the Huckabee Show is filmed, Mother Maybelle’s southern ranch style home, Roy Orbison’s property, and stop at Johnny Cash and and June Carter Cash gravesites.
  • 2:30-3:30 PM      Private line dancing lesson at local bar/restaurant
  • 4:00 PM              Check into hotel – HI Express and Suites @ Opryland 2461 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN  37214 (615-829-7777)                           Pool hours 10 am-10 pm
  • 4:45 PM              Depart for Opry Mills (200+ stores and restaurants) Many restaurants to choose from for dinner options – on your own
  • 6:20 PM              Depart for Grand Ole Opry
  • 7:00 PM              Grand Ole Opry Country Classics show (classic and current artists performing music that made Nashville, “Music City”). 
  • 9:30 PM              Backstage tour of Grand Ole Opry – See where the stars entered and all the backstage rooms and action after the show.
  • 10:30 PM            Return to hotel   *A shuttle to and from downtown Nashville is available for $10 roundtrip. This is a third party service that currently operates from the hotel from 9:00 am – 12:30 am. 
  • 7:00 AM               Breakfast at hotel (Included) (Breakfast served 6-10)
  • 8:00 AM               Depart hotel for Nashville sightseeing tour with singing tour guide. 
    • See music row with recording studios, Honky Tonk row, state capital, Parthenon in Centennial Park (full scale replica of original Parthenon in Athens, Ryman Auditorium (original site of Grand Ole Opry) and much more.
  • 11:15–2:30 PM     General Jackson Showboat – Cruise on 300’ paddlewheel showboat – lunch and show (Included)
  • 2:30 PM               Return to drop off any souvenirs and get ready for downtown
  • 3:00 PM               Depart for downtown Nashville, the “Music City”.  
  • 3:30 PM               Music City Welcome at the Visitor Center before taking off on your own to experience downtown Broadway Street bars and entertainment (MANY famous bars to enjoy with different genres of music including Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge (a must see), Wildhorse Saloon, Ole Red, The State, Legends Corner and many more)!
  • 6:00 PM               Dinner on your own in downtown Nashville at one of your new favorite places!
  • 7:30 PM               Bus picks up guests from downtown and returns to hotel.  (Can stay downtown and get picked up later).
  • 10:00 PM           Bus departs hotel for those that returned earlier and want to go back downtown.
  • 10:30 PM           Bus picks up guests from downtown and returns to hotel.
 

*For those wanting to stay later, you can always catch the hotel shuttle or uber back tothe hotel.  Many bars stay open until 3:00 am.

**Nashville Palace Bar as well as other bars near the hotel are another option for live entertainment and dancing if you return to the hotel. 

  • 8:00 AM               Breakfast at hotel (Included)  (Breakfast served 7-10)
  • 9:30 AM               Depart hotel
  • 10:00 AM             Tour Country Music Hall of Fame and learn about many famous country artists!
    • Music City Walk of Fame (See the stars of favorite artists representing all genres of music with ties to the Music City.  Take pics of your favorites!)
    • Afternoon – Enjoy lunch on your own – Take in the sights and sounds of downtown Nashville
    • You may want to tour the Ryman (site of the original Grand Ole Opry), the Johnny Cash Museum or National Museum of African American Music (highlighting spirituals, blues, jazz, gospel, R&B and Hip hop) or shop for cowboy boots.  There’s lots of music and many experiences to enjoy on the Honky Tonk Highway!
  • 5:30 PM               Dinner is on your own.  Bus Returns to hotel for those wanting to rest and makes stops at Opry Mills and Bass Pro Shop for those wanting to do some shopping or visit Madame Tussaud’s wax museum (on your own) highlighting music stars.  No need to leave downtown if you are enjoying the experiences there!  Have dinner downtown or at an Opry Mills Mall restaurant or at a restaurant near the hotel.
  • 8:00 PM               Bus picks up “shoppers” from Bass Pro Shop and Opry Mills Mall and returns to hotel.
  • 9:00 PM               Bus departs hotel for downtown. Anyone wanting to go back downtown can catch a ride.
  • 9:30 PM               Bus picks up guests from downtown. If desired, guests can stay downtown and take an Uber or hotel shuttle back to the hotel.

 

*Nashville Palace Bar with live music as well as other bars are an option near the hotel.

  • 7:30 AM               Bus departs hotel
  • 9:45-10:00 AM  Rest area stop enroute – Paducah, KY (15 minutes)
  • 12:30-1:30 PM  Lunch in Effingham, IL (HWY 57 and 33 – many fast food restaurants (McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Chipotle, Steak n’ Shake, BK, Panera)
  • 3:00-3:15 PM      Afternoon rest area stop enroute
  • 5:45-6:45 PM      Fast food lunch stop for dinner
  • 8:30-8:45 PM     Evening rest stop – Kwik Trip in WI Dells (15 minutes)
  • 10:15 PM            Arrive back in La Crosse after many memorable experiences in the Music City
